Surviving the Folded Flag:Parents of war share stories of coping courage & faith is my 2nd book,a complilation of 25 family journey stories and celebration of the life of their fallen heroes in Afghanistan or Iraq. Heart of a Hawk,my 1st book,was inspired by the appearance of a red tail hawk(the symbol of healing for Native Americans) at our home and its visits after Sgt Patrick Tainsh,our son, was KIA. Wife of USMC Sgt Maj (ret) Speaking and writing workshops are my specialty.

My joy comes from motivating and inspiring others through my speaking topics, published works, and coaching creative writing workshops. My book Heart of a Hawk, inspired by a red tail hawk that visited our home the day of our son's memorial service, is subject matter for families from all walks of life. Marital issues, a rebellious son, millitary family life, love, grief, and overcoming are major topics.
